Si nunca has tenido la experiencia de un tour de vinos, ¡necesitas vivirlo! Amo el vino y viajar, y adoro la Toscana, así que se podrán imaginar cuándo disfruté este viaje.
Santa Margherita me invitó a mí y a mis amigas Sara Galindo y Lety Sahagún a un viaje inolvidable para explorar los viñedos históricos en el norte de Italia. Estaba tan emocionada por estar en el lugar donde se crean la mayoría de los vinos que bebemos alrededor del mundo. Y estaba lista para aprender todo lo que hay detrás de su proceso de elaboración.
La vista era espectacular, siempre rodeados de árboles de olivo, viñas y grandes paredes de piedra.
El primer día, visitamos el viñedo Lamole de Lamole, donde tuvimos un hermoso picnic en medio de la naturaleza. El vino aquí es único por lo especial de las tierras, la altitud y lo poco urbanizado que está lugar. Nuestros anfitriones son los mismos que trabajan los viñedos y que cuidan cada detalle del proceso.
El siguiente día, hicimos un recorrido por la ciudad Greti antes de partir a Franciacorta, al norte de Italia. Aquí pudimos degustar vino espumoso de la marca líder Ca’ del Bosco. El staff nos dio una cálida bienvenida y nos explicó paso a paso del proceso, después disfrutamos de un delicioso lunch.
El viernes, visitamos Refrontolo y llegamos a Santa Margherita, uno de mis lugares favoritos de todo el viaje. Tienen más de 80 años de experiencia creando inigualables botellas de vino, desde vinos y rojos hasta dulces, espumoso y semi-espumoso. Comimos en la Taverna Santa Margherita y aprendimos que la familia Marzotto fueron los creadores del Pinot Grigio blanco, ya que antes era rosado! También descubrí una enorme variedad de uvas que crecen en esta región tan bella de Italia.
Sin duda, la Toscana es un paraíso para los amantes del vino.

If you’ve never experienced a wine tasting tour, you need to live it! I love wine and traveling and I adore Tuscany as well, so what an amazing combination this trip was!
Santa Margherita invited me and my lovely friends Sara Galindo and Lety Sahagún to an unforgettable trip to explore the historical vineyards and organically farmed fields of Lamole di Lamole and Santa Margherita Tenimenti Toscani estates. I was excited to be in the place were most of the wines in the world come from! And I was ready to learn all there is to know about how it is made.
The view was spectacular, always surrounded by olive trees, vines and dry stonewalls.
The first day, we visited Lamole di Lamole winery and wine tasting, and we had a beautiful picnic in the middle of the vineyards. The wine here is very unique because of the land, the altitude and how little it’s been urbanized. Our hosts are the same people that work the land and take care of the whole process.
The next day, we did a quick tour by the city of Greti before we left for Franciacorta, north of Italy. Here, we got to taste sparkling wine from the leading brand Ca’ del Bosco. The people here gave us the warmest welcome and after the wine tasting, we had an amazing light lunch.
On friday, we visited the Refrontolo Estate and then we arrived at Santa Margherita Headquarters, one of my favorite places in this trip. They have over 80 years of experience in the creating of outstanding bottles of wine. We ate lunch at Taverna Santa Margherita and then, the winery, where we tasted sweets, reds, whites, sparkling and semi-sparkling wines. Here I learned that the Marzotto family created the white Pinot Grigio, before it was rose wine! I also got to discover all the wide variety of grapes that grow in the northeast of Italy.
Without a doubt, Tuscany is a paradise for wine lovers!
