WINONA RYDER: LA NUEVA CARA DE L’ORÉAL PARIS

by Fer Medina

After her return to the screen in the hit Netflix series, Stranger Things, the iconic actress Winona Ryder stars in the new hair care campaign called “The Comeback” for L’Oréal Paris.

The Ryder campaign will kick-start a new L’Oréal Paris franchise called Elvive, which focuses on harm prevention. It is clear that our love for the curling iron, bleach and hair dye, the blow-dryer and the flat iron is more terrifying than the second season of Stranger Things.

Anne Marie Nelson-Bogle, senior vice president of marketing at L’Oréal Paris, told Women’s Wear Daily: “Everyone does love a comeback, and we will be communicating that damaged hair deserves one, too” Anne also added: “For Winona, we know that from TV sets to the red carpet, her hair has gone through many transformations — her hair is dry and damaged”. In the coming weeks we can find on the shelves a balm to eliminate damage and a protein recharge treatment of L’Oréal Paris Elvive.

Although it seems incredible, this is only the second beauty campaign of the actress. The first was in 2015 when he became the face of Marc Jacobs Beauty. “You would think that by now, with what I do, I would know how to apply makeup” Ryder told Allure at the time. “But I’m actually quite terrible at it and very, very lucky that I don’t need to wear a lot in my everyday life. I’ve always just stuck to tinted moisturizer and you know…I’ve spent my life having other people apply it, and it’s weird because you would think that I would have picked up all these amazing tips but it’s actually the opposite” said Winona.
